    This book holds a special place in my personal canon because it s the first picture book I read aloud to a group of kids, as a librarian, that allowed me to share their delight Seibold and Walsh s books are some of the weirdest out there, but because they re totally unapologetic and have absolutely no ulterior motives, they are, IMO, some of the best picture books around.Mr Lunch is a black and white dog who owns a bird seed company He borrows an elephant s canoe and sails it all the way to Venice, where he has it customized, and returns it to the elephant in better shape than when he received it That s it That s the whole book.In between, he has a zillion weird e...
